About Us

Kerin Marek's over 29 years of experience in the horticulture field have presented her with many opportunities. She started out working two jobs in the Red Wing area: one as a grower and the other in the retail field. She also worked in Disney’s horticulture special events department creating bright and unique landscapes. In 1997 she established Shades Of Green. Since starting the business, she has also worked as a producer with the national gardening magazine Gardening How To’s on several issues. Kerin is an MNLA Certified Landscape Professional and a Certified Tree Care Adviser. She has enjoyed working with hundreds of customers over the years.
